Meet Andy Hemp

Owner & Expert Machinist

When you choose to work with Hemp Machine, you get direct personal service from an expert machinist. Andy meets with the people at your plant to learn how things can be improved, quotes your project, orders the materials, and makes the part -- often faster than you can even get a quote from other machine shops.

Andy has over 20 years of experience making tools, dies, jigs, and fixtures. In 2001, he graduated from the Chippewa Valley Technical College machine tool program and began work at D&S Manufacturing as a machinist. He worked as a jigs and fixures builder at Cummins Filtration for several years before becoming the lead tool, die, jigs, and fixture builder at Mayville Engineering Company (MEC). In 2016, he decided to venture out on his own and opened Hemp Machine.

Andy takes great pride in CNC designing and programming. Every part has to meet his standards -- which are exceptionally high since he considers his quality unmatched in the area.
